About
the Author
Writing has always been my passion. The
calling to become a writer especially burned inside of me throughout
my high school years. I wanted to major in English and pursue
writing in my first college semester. Like too many people, I bought
what the world sold me and did not do what my heart told me. I was
told that one cannot make a living as a writer. I should go for a
degree that there will be a demand for involving the type of work in
the particular field I am majoring.
When I entered college, I initially majored in Accounting and
ultimately earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Walsh
College of Michigan in 1992. Writing was always with me. I adored
writing, which helped me with my marketing classes. My professors
thought highly of my writing skills. Marketing revitalized me
because I often wondered why people did things the way they did
(psychographics). I was able to do research and writing, which I
loved! I was very eager to pursue marketing as career. After
graduation, I encountered many employers and companies that
intertwined sales AND marketing in one department. I went to college
to pursue a marketing career, not to be a salesman. I became
frustrated with too many employers confusing marketing with sales. I
entered a few industries, such as Relocation (Real Estate) and
Information Technology, but ultimately, they did not satisfy me. I
wanted to go back to school and earn a Master's Degree. I earned a
Master's of Business Administration, from the University of Phoenix
in 2000 while working in the Information Technology field.
In March 2003, I created North Notes LLC!
