I was five weeks away from the deadline to
complete my book, The Law of Attraction for Business, and I felt
stuck. I knew I needed someone to be my sounding board and to
encourage me during the final lap. I needed a writing coach. Sean
showed up at the perfect time! His warm, appreciative and sensitive
coaching motivated me to complete my book---a week ahead of
schedule!

Dear Sean:
I would like to thank-you for your enthusiastic support of my
writing endeavor. I have wanted for some time to write a children’s
book and you have given me that extra ‘push’ I needed to get
started. After sitting with you for just fifteen minutes I have
brainstormed and put to paper a list of characters and their roles
within the story. You were great at helping me to break down the
writing process into manageable chunks, which is so important when
you are a person with very little free time. You really encouraged
me and after meeting with you, I am well on my way to having the
outline to my story completed. I also have found and illustrator and
I feel confident now that I can do this, one step at a time.
In the 6 years that I worked with you at SBC, you were always
extremely positive, enthusiastic, and helpful and I have found that
in your new career, you have risen bar! Thanks so much for your
guidance, motivation, and continued support with my writing
endeavor.
Sincerely,

When Writing
Becomes Uninviting
Many of you have
always wanted to write. You, like other writers, may have gotten
writer’s block. What happens when you are stuck? Can you go to a
doctor for having writer’s block? Are there any "writing doctors"
that prescribe medication to overcome what to write about or how to
stress our premise?
Having writer’s block is normal and can occur in many different
fashions.........

Desperate
Measures By Anne Kadet

“The deep freeze may also indicate that the interviewer has
concerns about your qualifications. Sean North encountered this when
he was up for a tech support job at telecom SBC in Troy, Mich. The
interviewer asked about one mainframe application after another, and
North was clueless. "The interviewer was probably thinking, 'What
does this guy know?'" North recalls. "He became indifferent, like he
was just going through the motions." Figuring he had nothing to
lose, North broke in and asked whether the job involved PC software,
his strong point. When the interviewer brightened up, North
described all the applications he'd dealt with. "We can teach you
the mainframe applications," the interviewer concluded. “

North, a communications specialist for SBC Yellow Pages in Troy, Mich., said he used quotes on his resume, and many potential
employers told him that they liked the testimonials. "Quotes and
testimonials stand out among
other resumes," he said. "[They're] unconventional and lots of
companies like creativity."’
